Roma’s captain firmly believes that the Lupi will face Liverpool with the same determination they had against Barcelona and Shakhtar Donetsk.
Today, the Giallorossi were drawn against the British side for the Champions League semi-finals that will take place on April 24th and May 2nd.
Daniele De Rossi is confident that his team is mentally ready to face such a tough side. This is what he had to say right after the draw took place.
UCL DRAW – “Liverpool, Bayern, and Real Madrid are great sides and it wouldn’t have changed much if we had been paired with one of the other two. Liverpool knocked out the team that I thought might be the favorite to win the UCL, Manchester City. I love Klopp‘s tactical approach and we respect them. But we will have our chances.”
Roma will face Lazio on Sunday though. The captain of the giallorossi is deeply focused on that match as well.
DERBY – “It’s going to be a huge game on Sunday. It’s incredibly important this time for the league standings. We need to make sure we play well otherwise we won’t play in the Champions League again.”
THE TEAM – “My teammates have all shown that they can play in big games with great mental strength. We struggled a bit over the season, but we fought hard to get back on the right path.”
