The Belgian star underperforms in the first half but changes the match after the break.
Roma–Torino demonstrated that Radja Nainggolan wants and needs to play closer to the striker to make a devastating impact on the game. Although Torino put the Roma midfield in trouble in the first 45 minutes, Di Francesco slightly shifted Nainggolan’s position after the break and his decision paid off.
The Belgian midfielder made two assists (for De Rossi and Pellegrini) and substantially began Roma’s resurgence. His ability to play the two phases (defensive and offensive) helped his teammates sweeping away Mazzarri‘s hopes.
