Former Roma midfielder Amantino Mancini released an interview to ‘Premium Sport’.
The ex-Brazilian offensive winger is still in the hearts of the Roma fans. A decade ago, thanks to his remarkable performances the giallorossi reached the Champions League quarter-finals. Probably, the best moment of his career was the goal scored against Lyon, a fantastic night for a Roma led by Luciano Spalletti.
This is what Amantino Mancini said in reference to his experience at Roma and the exciting Champions League adventure.
ROMA TO THE QUARTER-FINALS – “I have great memories of what I have lived for many years. I am very happy to see Roma among the best 8 European clubs. There’s a great quality in the Roma roster and a coach who knows football well. Di Francesco experienced a few problems when he moved to Rome. A few important players have been sold, like Salah. It is tough for a coach when important players are traded out. Anyway, he is doing a great work so far.”
