Josip Ilicic‘s performances in the 2017-18 campaign are definitely remarkable. The Slovakian offensive midfielder joined Atalanta from Fiorentina on July 6, 2017. Since then, Ilicic made 37 appearances scoring 14 goals and making 9 assists. The 30-year-old from Prijedor (Slovenia) also made 49 caps with the national team scoring 6 goals.
Atalanta’s midfielder could be the right player for Di Francesco‘s 4-3-3. Although his main position is attacking midfield, he is able to play as a secondary striker and right winger as well.
