The former head coach of Bayern Munich believes in the quality of the giallorossi. The upcoming Champions League clash is not a “mission impossible” for the Lupi.
Carlo Ancelotti was interviewed by ‘Radio Anch’io Sport’, and spoke about the Italian national team and the forthcoming Champions League match Roma–Shakhtar Donetsk.
“Roma will face a complicated match against a tough side. However, in the last two match, they performed well. They seemed to be in trouble but after Napoli and Torino we can say that their confidence is back. They can defeat Shakhtar,” said the Italian coach.
“I don’t know anything about my future. This is my sabbatical year. I am watching matches of different leagues. There are no substantial innovations from a tactical point of view, but football is always interesting to me.”
In reference to his possible employment with the Italian national team, the coach stated:
“Let’s say that nobody called me! [laughing]. It is still a little early for everyone to make final decisions. The Italian national team is not a distant hypothesis. I would like to train every day and this is my doubt.”
