Chatting with the Roma fans in Milan the Tuscan coach clarifies his position explaining his choice to leave the Italian capital.
Sometimes things happen randomly. A simple chat with a few supporters can unveil truths breaking a silence last for a few months.
Luciano Spalletti is still thinking about Roma, the club that he led to the second spot in the standings with tactical wisdom and creativity.
As reported by the Italian outlet ‘Corriere della Sera’, the coach saluted a few Roma fans in front of a restaurant in Milan and chatted with them approximately for one hour.
“Totti didn’t run anymore. His teammates would get depressed if I let him play – said Spalletti in reference to the Roma legend”.
The current Inter coach had something to say about Pallotta as well. “I clearly understood that he would sell the best players”.
“Roma is a tough and sometimes depressed environment. You guys blamed me even if I reached the second spot in the standings ahead of Napoli. Now, you will never catch them. What’s no clear in Rome and here in Milan is that it is not possible to win because Juventus has two teams”.
