Roma’s Head Coach Eusebio Di Francesco has analyzed the current moment of his team focusing on a few key players.
In today’s press conference ahead of the Serie A clash Roma–Milan that will take place at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, the Italian coach expressed his point of view on the Champions League and on the upcoming match against Gattuso‘s crew.
Although Di Francesco is never happy to talk about individual players, he made an exception for Schick and Nainggolan. As AS ROMA 360 reported, Schick could replace the Bosnian star Edin Dzeko because “the player is ready to play and he could be a starter against Milan” stated Di Francesco.
Radja Nainggolan‘s situation seems to be different though. The Belgian midfielder is passing through a tough moment. He does not seem to be able to make a difference anymore. The Italian coach analyzed his moment stating that “this is not a tactical matter. His issues are related to physical and mental aspects. Radja must regain strength and determination. I would have been happy to say that you were right when you told me that he had to play as a ‘trequartista’, and I was hoping for him to score 10 goals.” – the coach said to the journalists who attended the press conference.
“However, beyond Nainggolan and the other senators of the team, I am training a group of players. The most important thing is not the performance of an individual player. Teamwork is the key” concluded Di Francesco.
