Two consecutive victories for the giallorossi and the fourth position in the standings. But the Italian coach hopes for something better.
Although the Lupi defeated Verona and Benevento in the last two Serie A matches, Di Francesco‘s side seemed to be still sick. Benevento created several chances to score the second goal putting Roma in trouble. However, the Italian coach believes that his team will do well from now on.
“We have to work hard because we had 40 days of serious difficulties. –said Di Francesco to ‘Radio Uno’.
Now the bad period is over. We are a compact side even if we need more continuity. I was hoping for more points but we have always been behind Napoli and Juventus in terms of roster and transfer market.
Every coach would love to train the same players for more years in order to have continuity. Napoli is doing that. I hope that after the club has reorganized a few things, we will be able to get to that point too. I believe this is Monchi‘s goal. However, it is something that needs time to be implemented. It cannot be done in a few days. Roma needs to reorganize its accounts first. The club is doing it.”
