In the post-match interviews, Di Francesco expressed his disappointment for the overall performance of his squad. This is what he said to the Italian broadcaster ‘Premium Sports’.

“I have seen two teams. After the goal, I should have changed several players. We gave them strength. Physically our performance dropped. In the first half, we played to damage our opponent but in the second part, we just tried to manage the match. But I cannot understand this approach and this is the reason why I am disappointed”.

“We can overturn the result in the return match but we should have scored more goals during the first 50 minutes. We suffered two goals due to our inexperience. But our players are experienced and this is absurd”.

“We are not presumptuous when we are winning an important match. Especially because we are not a team that gets to the final match every year”.
