Roma Close To Barcelona’s Aleix Vidal

The giallorossi are ready to replace the departing Emerson Palmieri with Barcelona’s full-back Vidal. The clubs are negotiating and positive on this deal.

This transfer market window will be remembered as one of the most active for the Lupi. Roma‘s Sporting Director Monchi is working on multiple tables to reshape Di Francesco‘s roster. With the imminent departure of Emerson Palmieri, the Spaniard is chasing Aleix Vidal, a player able to cover both flanks. The Barcelona defender could replace Kolarov also giving a great support on the right-side of the field. Although Bruno Peres is still on the roster, the Brazilian is not Di Francesco’s favorite choice for that defensive side. Sometimes Florenzi plays there but the Italian coach sees him more as an offensive player.

According to ‘Sky Sports Italia’, negotiations between Barcelona and Roma are going on. The deal could be sealed as follows, a loan with an obligation to buy for €10 million.

This season, Aleix Vidal made 13 appearances scoring one goal in the last match against Real Madrid that took place on December 23.

Roma could find an agreement for Aleix Vidal in the next few hours.
