The Italian coach is awaiting Emerson Palmieri’s arrival in London but he unveiled that the negotiation for the Bosnian striker almost fell through.
The Brazilian left-back Emerson Palmieri is traveling to London to undergo medicals with Chelsea. The Blues are in agreement with Roma and ready to pay overall 28 million euro to sign the defender. Although this transfer is defined and almost sealed the two clubs failed to agree on Edin Dzeko.
In the press conference the coach of the British side, Antonio Conte, stated:
“I don’t remember Palmieri because he played a great season with Roma only last year. I don’t know if he will be fit to play at this time. He is recovering from a bad knee injury. However, we are talking about a player of another club.
In reference to Dzeko I believe he will remain in Rome.”
Is this a strategy or the end of the story? We’ll see in the next 24 hours!
