Monchi-Totti-Baldissoni

Francesco Totti spoke about the recent Champions League draw unveiling possible deals during the next transfer window. The former Roma captain works with Monchi to strengthen the team.

There are genuine people in the world of football as well. Francesco Totti is one of those. The Roma legend has attended the Champions League draw even in Nyon and right after he has unveiled that the management is screening the market to find possible added values for Di Francesco.

Totti’s words seemed to be clear, possibly the Lupi will finalize one or more acquisitions in January.

Reportedly, the giallorossi are secretly working on a midfielder. Real Madrid‘s Mateo Kovacic is a real target. Monchi knows the Spanish market and his connections with the ‘Blancos’ could help.

The Croatian midfielder could be a great addition to Di Francesco’s roster. The Italian coach would like to sign a midfielder able to play in front of the defensive line and as a trequartista as well. Kovacic seems to be a real and possible name for January.

The player is unhappy in Madrid having played only eight matches so far for a total of 364 minutes. His technical skills are indisputable and his ability to set the pace of the game could be great for Roma. His current contract is set to expire in June 2021. Although his market value seems to be too high for the Roma coffers (€42 million) the giallorossi have the possibility to pull down his price-tag exploiting the unhappiness of the player.

This is a possible deal but albeit Real Madrid is not willing to let him go everything can change if the midfielder put pressure on his current club.
