Schick Is Back for the Roma Sake

The Czech striker played and scored a goal in the Coppa Italia match against Torino. Schick can be the real added value of Di Francesco‘s roster.

We were all waiting for him. We were impatiently thinking about his technique and ability to score goals. Patrick Schick is finally fit and ready to drag his teammates to the Serie A title race. In a moment in which Edin Dzeko seems to be tired and out of shape, the Czech could change the cards on the table getting a place in the starting 11 against Juventus.
The early elimination from the 2017-18 Coppa Italia that Roma suffered against Torino at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday doesn’t change my evaluation of Schick’s performance. While Roma’s offensive strategies are developing properly the coefficient of goals scored is largely in deficit. The Lupi doesn’t have a killer instinct in front of the goal anymore and Di Francesco must find a solution as soon as possible. Patrick Schick could be the solution to this problem.

As the Italian outlet ‘La Repubblica’ reported, Roma’s attacking trio against Mihajlovic‘s men was El SharaawyUnder, and Schick. The Turkish youngster and the Czech star joined Roma last summer for a whopping €55 million. If we add Defrel to this list, the overall amount jumps to €75m. In light of that, Di Francesco can only cross his fingers and hope that these talents will finally bloom like sunflowers but before the summer.
The giallorossi need the class of Schick. Will the Czech strike be able to replace Salah properly? Although the Roma fans are skeptical, the guy has the right talent to impress the crowd but different skills. We will never see him running like a horse on the right flank leaving a trail of fire on the grass but we will be able to enjoy his immense technique and velvety touch.
Salah is the past and Schick is the future. Di Francesco hopes that his raw jewel will shine sooner than later.
