Roma Would Keep Its Turkish Under Armour

When he landed in Rome he attracted the attention and curiosity of the Roma fans. He was warmly welcomed especially because in Turkey he is considered the next big crack. Currently, Cengiz Under is just a youngster but many football pundits believe that the right winger will be able to impress the world soon.

The Turkish media are following his career step by step. Cengiz is lonely and alone in his Roman adventure but he is facing this experience with an extreme professionalism and dedication.

Although his pre-season was great with the giallorossi, Under is experiencing highs and lows in the first four months of the official 2017-18 campaign. Di Francesco played him a few times but the talented winger didn’t impress as everyone was expecting. The Turkish is closed by El Shaarawy (often redirected on the right flank), Florenzi, and Defrel. Nowadays, Patrick Schick is fully fit as well and the Italian coach sees him well operating on that side of the field too. Cengiz, therefore, would need a different stage to play and improve.

The upcoming January transfer window could be the right moment to let him go. Eventually, Roma would only be willing to loan him out in order to have the possibility to bring him back later on paying a fee.

When Lorenzo Pellegrini was loaned to Sassuolo a few years ago the Lupi kept a buyout clause available. Today, the Italian midfielder is a precious piece of Di Francesco’s puzzle.

Under’s destiny could be the same. Monchi could loan him to Sassuolo hoping to make a deal soon bringing him back to Rome whenever he will become a top player.

Cengiz Under has remarkable qualities that must be tested and developed somewhere else. By staying in the Italian capital, the youngster would not have the possibility to demonstrate his immense talent.
