Roma’s Left Chain Crumbles Lazio

Roma collected three key points to get closer to the top of the standings. Lazio was demolished by Roma’s super left chain.

A remarkable performance for the giallorossi in the Derby della Capitale. Di Francesco prepared a tactical strategy with meticulous attention and outperformed his colleague Simone Inzaghi who thought that a simple counterattacking strategy could have been enough to get at least a draw.

Roma crumbled Lazio repeatedly attacking the biancoazzuri on their right flank. Kolarov and Perotti managed the situation during the first half but made the difference in the second 45 minutes crashing Marusic and Bastos. 60% of the Roma attacks were developed from its super powerful left duo.

By analyzing the position of the players on the field, it is clear that the Serbian left back and the Argentine outperformed their counterparts but also thanks to Strootman‘s and Dzeko‘s efforts. The Dutchman and the Bosnian star often moved on that side of the field creating numerical superiority and dangerous actions.
