Roma and Sevilla FC battling for Vidal

After having played only 307 minutes with Barcelona the right-back Aleix Vidal could be ready for a new experience. The player is chased by several clubs but Roma and Sevilla FC are the favorites.

Last summer, Roma, Milan, and Inter tried to snatch the player from Barcelona but Aleix Vidal decided to stay with the Blaugrana to play his cards. However, his decision doesn’t seem to have been the best for his future. The right-back played only 307 minutes in the seven matches that Valverde decided to play him.

Nowadays, the situation is different. As ‘’ reported, Monchi is in contact with Barcelona for the player even if no agreements have been reached at this time. Sevilla FC is chasing Vidal as well.

Although Monchi had purchased him from Almeria when he was Sevilla’s Sporting Director, the Spaniard will have to face the competition of his former and beloved team as well. The Spanish side is monitoring the situation.

Roma needs to replace Rick Karsdorp. The Dutchman is injured for the entire season and Di Francesco needs another player to properly cover that flank. Alexi Vidal could be the right choice for the January transfer window.

The player will assess his future soon. He doesn’t want to sit on the bench for another six months.
