Falcao almost the new Roma coach

The Brazilan iconic star Falcao unveiled that he almost signed a two-year contract with Roma when Viola was the President of the giallorossi.




In a recent interview with ‘Bem, Amigos!’ on Sport TV, one of the greatest players that Roma had in its roster, Paulo Roberto Falcao, mentioned that Viola offered him the bench of the Lupi.

“In 1991 I was training the Brazilian national team but Viola called me. I was ready to go to Cortina D’Ampezzo (an Italian town) to sign a two-year contract.

However, in that period he got sick and shortly after he passed away.”

Falcao also highlighted his great friendship with the current Roma managers.

“Roma managers have a great respect for me. Definitely more than those of International Porto Alegre.”
