Roma was supposed to go to Benevento to collect vital three points to reduce the gap with the teams at the top of the league, mission completed!

A very lovely evening in Benevento for Eusebio Di Francesco’s crew. Baroni’s guys kept the pace of the game high in the first 15’ minutes surprising the giallorossi. But as soon as Maxime Gonalons found the right countermeasures on the midfield, the match has suddenly changed.

The Frenchman properly managed the operations as a playmaker and a super Kolarov demolished Benevento’s right-flank. The Serbian star burned that side of the field pushing hard and serving juicy crosses to the Bosnian colossus who scored the leading goal for the Lupi.

A very precious performance by Pellegrini. The Italian guy knows what he has to do to please his coach and he does it meticulously. He is confident as a center-mid, a position where he can intercept the ball and help Roma’s offensive line.

Federico Fazio played a leading position as a center-back. The Argentine defender was simply an insuperable brick wall where Benevento’s Coda constantly crashed on.

The MVP of the match is definitely Edin Dzeko. His daily show can be summarized as follows. Two goals, two hit posts, and a few assists served to his teammates. Today, the Bosnian star was impossible to dispossess.

A good vote for Eusebio Di Francesco too. The Italian coach confirmed his 4-3-3 with very tight lines and a good mobility by those players operating on the flanks. Although the Turkish youngster Under didn’t play well today, Di Francesco wisely replaced him with El Shaarawy at the beginning of the second half. Roma’s defense line confirmed a great solidity even if the Italian coach decided to play Fazio and Juan Jesus relegating Manolas on the bench.

A very convincing performance for the Lupi!
