An amazing left-footed playmaker. Kolarov makes the difference

Just one month ago, Roma’s sporting director Monchi brought Alexsandar Kolarov back to the Italian capital. His acquisition is probably the best operation made by the Lupi by far.

Roma’s fans were critical about Kolarov’s negotiation and consequent acquisition. A month after the deal was sealed, the overall perception about the Serbian star is different. The former Lazio player is not here in Rome to close his relevant career but to surprise everyone.

In the first four Serie A matches as well as in the Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid, Kolarov was one of the top performers. His experience is precious for Eusebio Di Francesco and his propulsion on the left flank is devastating.

In the away win against Benevento, the Serbian was a major factor. 38% of the Roma attacks came from his side of the field. Roma’s left chain worked perfectly. Perotti freed up space for his raids and the Serbian constantly created serious damages to Baroni’s defense line.

Kolarov is a kind of left-footed playmaker for Roma. On the other side of the field, Under didn’t play a great match. Possibly, the Serbian can be ‘blamed’ for that too. In fact, the giallorossi are very confident in the former Manchester City’s fullback and they prefer to develop their tactical strategies from the left flank. Consequently, the player who operates on the right offensive side is penalized.

That being said, Alexsandar Kolarov is a hell of a player. He unceasingly supports Roma’s defensive and offensive phase. The Serbian makes the difference in the Serie A.
