Roma is chasing Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov this summer.
The Serbian star has the characteristics that Monchi needs to strengthen the AS Roma roster. Thanks to his international experience, class, endurance and mental strength Kolarov is now Monchi’s first choice.
Manchester City is reshaping its defensive line this summer and the role of the Serbian fullback is unclear at this time. The 31-year-old is considering leaving the Etihad next season but the competition to sign him is fierce. Reportedly, Serie A giants Inter and Roma would be ready to bid for Aleksandar Kolarov.
Roma needs more experience to its backline and Kolarov has emerged as a target for the club ahead of the start of the new seasons.
Manchester City’s economic request for the Serbian star is expected to be around €10m. The player’s wage demands are believed to be an issue for Roma (€4.5m per season).
Kolarov has a contract until the end of next season with Manchester City.
