New AS Roma coach Eusebio Di Francesco talked to Roma TV in Boston in reference to the International Champions Cup match against Tottenham.
“We have trained well so far and I have to say that I am very happy that my guys are trying to understand what I want from them. We are building up the high intensity and wasting no time.
However, we still have to work hard. This is the moment to grow collectively. This is a very professional group of players. I’ve asked them to go through a five-day training program and they came here in the USA in perfect shape.
I expect to see improvements against Tottenham. I am talking about a tactical point of view.
We want to make sure all the players are collecting playing time but all of them need to understand that physiologically is almost impossible to always play.
Our goal is to have numerous top-level players within the team and the sporting director is doing a great job on the basis of what’s been requested.”
