Maxi Moralez is very happy with his new experience with NYCFC. He recently joined Villa’s and Pirlo’s team but he keeps great memories about the Italian Serie A.
After having made 148 appearances with Atalanta, scoring 20 goals and 20 assists, Maxi Moralez‘s eyes still shine when it comes to the (Bel Paese – the beautiful Italian country). Yesterday, I had the opportunity to exclusively interview him in the marvelous locker rooms of the historical Yankee stadium of New York.
I was there to attend the MLS match between NYCFC and Philadelphia Union (2-1 the final score) and, once more, Maxi made the difference. He was a great player in Italy and he is confirming his great qualities here in New York as well. Patrick Vieira considers him a starter and Maxi is repaing the trust with consistent high-level performances.
“It’s difficult to talk about the differences between the MLS and the Italian Serie A. I firmly believe that Serie A is one of the most competitive leagues in the world. – stated Moralez with a bit of melancholy.”
The Argentine attacking midfielder expressed his thoughs about the AS Roma legend as well.
“Francesco Totti is a legend for all those who love football. I don’t know if he wants to play in the MLS but I’m sure that he would be a great addition for every club here. It would be good for football in general if he joins us or another team in the MLS. However, as I stated before, I don’t know what he wants to do.”
