AS Roma sporting director Monchi clarified that Roma sets the price-tag of its players. He admitted Liverpool’s interest in the Egyptian winger but he iced Inter’s willingness to bring Ruediger to Milan.
“Roma is not going to sell players, Roma is planning to create the best squad to achieve the best goals. The interest of an English club for Salah is true, there was an offer but it is also true that Roma sets the price-tag.
Ruediger? Zero open negotiations, zero chance that he leaves this club.
This club is not a supermarket. We are trying to build a solid team able to compete for the Italian title and to do well in Europe as well. There are not ongoing negotiations for other players but Salah.
We don’t need other goalkeepers at this time. We are covered with Alisson, Skorupski and Lobont.
I felt in love with Di Francesco not only having watch the match that his Sassuolo played against Atletico Bilbao in Spain. His way to manage that team was definitely remarkable. From that moment I decided to understand something more about his methods. He represents many of the things that I think Roma needs. Above all, he had the ability to work and compete.”
