It’s not a secret that the former AS Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini deeply believed in Schick’s quality. The player was really close to the Giallorossi but suddenly Roma decided not to spend €4 million to close the deal.
One season after, Roma seems to be seriously interested in the striker again. Schick performed a great season with Sampdoria scoring 10 goals in 27 matches. According to what was reported by the Italian newspaper Leggo, the Giallorossi joined the race for the young and talented player even if his price is now quadruplicate. Schick’s current price tag is €25 million, which is the amount of the buyout clause set up by Sampdoria.
The new AS Roma sporting director Monchi seems to be ready to do this effort and compete with Juventus, Napoli, and Inter for Schick. Mario Rui could be included in the deal to decrease the overall economic effort.
