AS Roma collects three pivotal points defeating Sassuolo at the Olimpico Stadium in Rome. After a suffered start the giallorossi managed the pace of the game scoring three goals.
Couldn’t do anything with the Defrel goal, bit lazy in possession when playing from the back.
Adapted well to two positional changes in the second half, struggled against the Sassuolo press. Looked more comfortable with the change to 4 at the back.
Like Rudiger struggled against the early Sassuolo press as all three centre backs did. Looked more comfortable when Matri came on a substitute.
Not the most assured performance against a pacy Sassuolo front three, struggled to cope with Defrel pace. Like Manolas looked more comfortable against Alessandro Matri

Another off night for the Brazilian wing back, looked off the pace and didn’t get going.
The washing machine was back, the Dutch international was back to his 2013-14 best with an imposing display at the heart of the Roma midfield.
A much better performance from the Argentine midfield, scored the crucial equaliser in the first half. Used the ball a lot better in the second half as the Sassuolo side tired in the second half.
Another energetic display from the Belgian midfielder, as the Sassuolo team started to tire, Nainggolan broke into his stride and linked up well with the front three.
Came back into the starting XI after a couple games away, didn’t look like he missed the last two games. Slotted in nicely, another assured performance down the Roma left.
Caused the Sassuolo backline a lot of problems with his explosive pace, showed great awareness on Roma second goal.

Struggled to get into the game as one of the two strikers, like most Roma players he was one of them to struggle against the Sassuolo press. Wasteful in attack and wasteful in possession.
