Injured Roma stars making progress in training

By Joe Avicolli

Injured Roma stars Francesco Totti, Daniele De Rossi and Mohamed Salah are all reportedly making steady progress in training in hopes of being fit as soon as possible.

Francesco Totti, who has been out since late September, and Daniele De Rossi, who is nursing a recent thigh injury, are expected to be close to a return to the pitch in the coming weeks, while Mohamed Salah could be out for up to six weeks after picking up a knock to his ankle during the Giallorossi’s 2-0 derby win over Lazio on November 8.

According to ASRoma.it, Totti was back to participating in small running drills in training on Wednesday, while De Rossi and Salah continued their personalized recovery programs.

Kevin Strootman has been making progress as well, though he’s still expected to remain on the bench until 2016.

The Lupi’s next challenge will be an away clash against Bologna on November 21, giving Totti and De Rossi a couple of weeks to hopefully regain their fitness.
