New Roma signing Gerson could reportedly sign with Frosinone on loan upon his arrival in Europe in January.
The 18-year-old, who is still playing for Fluminense in Brazil, was signed by the Giallorossi for a fee of €15 million over the summer but was forced to temporarily remain in Brazil until January 2016 due to the capital city club’s inability to add another non EU player to their squad ahead of the current campaign, as they had already reached their quota.
According to Globo Esporte, Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is in the process of finding the best solution for the youngster and could end up sending him to Frosinone this winter in order to give him a chance to get used to playing in the Serie A in Italy.
Reports suggest that Bologna and Sampdoria are interested in making a move for the Brazilian this winter as well, though both clubs are yet to submit any offers for him.
Sabatini also has the option of allowing Gerson to remain at Roma and train at Trigoria for the second half of the 2015/16 campaign until he’s eligible to play for the Lupi next summer.
