Ramy Abbas, agent of Roma forward Mohamed Salah, has revealed that the capital city club is the ideal team for his client following the Stadio Olimpico outfit’s 2-1 win over Fiorentina on Sunday.
The 23-year-old, who scored Roma’s first goal in the match against his former team and was eventually sent off for receiving two yellow cards at the end of the game, has been doing well in Rudi Garcia’s squad since his arrival over the summer, scoring five goals and providing one assist in his nine Serie A appearances this term thus far, and his agent insists that the Giallorossi suit the young talent better than the Viola did.
Abbas spoke to Radio Bruno on Monday about the successful result against Fiorentina and his client’s progress at Roma thus far, while also commenting on his sending off during the win in Florence.
“Roma played a good game yesterday,” said the agent. “I was not surprised by the result because I think Roma are stronger than the Viola.
“Mohamed is meeting the team’s expectations of him, even with the Serie A being as difficult as it is. Roma is the ideal team for him.
“The complaints against my client in the past have had no effect. Mohamed may only be 23-years-old but he has the mentality of an experienced player.
“I don’t understand why he was sent off against Fiorentina. I still can’t believe what happened, so I’d rather not talk about it.
“The problem was never between Salah and the fans, it was the directors. Both the fans and the player have always behaved normally.
“I’m sure that Roma will do well this season, they have tons of strength even on their bench.”
