AS Roma-Sergio Diaz: a deal practically closed

Sergio Diaz

AS Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has practically closed a deal with Cerro Porteño for the talented Paraguayan Sergio Diaz.

AS Roma seems to be very close to sign Sergio Diaz the talented Paraguayan player that was carefully observed form Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool. According to the portal Goal.com the giallorossi already presented a €10M bid to Cerro Porteño.

Walter Sabatini already had a pre-contract with the Paraguayan club however there is a legal issue that is going to delay Diaz’s arrival in Italy. The player is only 16 year-old and he cannot be “hired” and brought to Italy before he turns 18. For this reason Sabatini already planned his landing in Italy for January 2017.

Reportedly Sergio Diaz will be pursued for €7M but Cerro Porteño will obtain €3M bonus on the basis of the appearances that the player will collect with the giallorossi.
