AS Roma are reportedly monitoring several defenders in the Serie A as possible replacements for Alessio Romagnoli and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa.
Both Giallorossi men are expected to leave the capital city club this summer, with Romagnoli extremely close to completing a move to AC Milan and Yanga-Mbiwa apparently on the verge of joining French club Lyon, and it seems like Rudi Garcia would like sign new players who already have experience in Italy’s top tier.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb.com, AS Roma are considering bids for Inter center back Juan Jesus, Empoli defender Lorenzo Tonelli and Udinese center back Thomas Heurtaux, with Heurtaux reportedly being seen as Garcia’s favorite of the three.
Reports suggest that Giallorossi sporting director Walter Sabatini could also immediately get to work on signing all three of the players once Romagnoli has officially made his departure for the Rossoneri.
Lorenzo Tonelli scored five goals in his 28 Serie A appearances for Empoli last term, while Juan Jesus made 32 appearances for the Biscione during the 2014/15 season.
Heurtaux scored one goal and provided one assist in his 26 league appearances for Udinese last term.
