Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has reportedly set his sights on landing Atalanta striker Mauricio Pinilla this summer.
The 31-year-old, whose current deal with the Orobici is set to expire in June 2016, had a successful stint with the Bergamo based club after arriving from Genoa back in January and it seems like the Giallorossi are now looking to add him to Rudi Garcia’s attack in the coming weeks.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb.com, Sabatini, who has worked with Pinilla in the past, may be preparing an offer for the Copa America winning Chilean international with hopes of adding him to the capital city club’s front line along with Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko.
Reports also suggest that the former Grifone man is being chased by Bologna as well, though he may be more open to signing with the Lupi.
Pinilla scored nine goals and provided two assists in his 26 Serie A appearances last term, with six of those goals and both assists coming in his 14 league appearances at Atalanta.
