Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Mohamed Salah will be leaving the Blues on loan this summer and admitted that Roma could possibly be his next possible destination.
The 23-year-old has been targeted by multiple clubs in recent weeks after opting to leave Fiorentina, with several Serie A sides including the Giallorossi currently battling for his signature, and Mourinho has revealed that the young talent’s future likely lies in the Serie A, though he’s unaware of exactly which club he may choose.
Mourinho spoke during a press conference about Salah’s transfer situation and praised the winger for his quality on the pitch, while also wishing him the best in his next adventure, wherever it may be.
“Mohamed is not part of my team, he will not stay with us,” said the tactician.
“The most important thing for him is to play games just like he did at Fiorentina, I’m happy to see him go out on loan and do well.
“Italian football is difficult, especially for attacking players. I don’t know if he’ll go to Fiorentina, Roma, Inter or Juventus, I just know he will leave on loan.
“He’s a good guy and a good player. He needs to play at a high level and we’ll be happy with any decision or club he chooses.”
