Arsenal are reportedly ready to join the battle for Roma defender Alessio Romagnoli.
The 20-year-old, whose current contract with the Giallorossi is set to expire in June 2018, has attracted the attention of several clubs after his successful loan spell at Sampdoria during the 2014/15 campaign and it seems the Gunners are now prepared to compete with AC Milan for his signature.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger turned his attention towards the Italian youngster after missing out on Daniele Rugani, who joined Juventus instead, and the Premier League side may now be getting ready to make a bid for the €30 million rated player in the coming days.
Reports also show that the Rossoneri have already had several offers rejected by the Lupi, as they failed to meet the capital city club’s demands, which could leave the English side with more of an opening to make a considerable offer.
Romagnoli scored two goals and provided two assists in his 30 Serie A appearances for the Blucerchiati last term.
