Roma are reportedly ready to compete with the likes of Sevilla and Basel as they try to secure Gremio youngster Walace in the coming months.
The 20-year-old, who began his professional career with the Tricolor in 2014, has drawn the attention of quite a few clubs throughout Europe based on his displays in Brazil since last year, with the Giallorossi looking to be one of the teams most interested in securing his services this summer.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Roma have been intensely monitoring the young Brazilian in recent weeks and may be readying a bid for him, though both Sevilla and Basel are apparently prepared to put up a fight in their own missions to sign him.
The Lupi may also be facing competition in Italy for the defensive midfielder, as reports suggest that Inter have been paying close attention to the talent as well.
Walace, who currently has an estimated value of around €3.5 million, has made five Brazilian Serie A appearances in 2015 thus far.
