Roma set sights on Manchester City striker after missing out on Bacca

By Joe Avicolli

Roma have reportedly set their sights back on Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko following Carlos Bacca’s decision to join AC Milan.

The 29-year-old, whose current deal with the Citizens is set to expire in June 2018, has fallen out of favor at the English club as of late and it seems like he may be ready to continue his career elsewhere, with the Giallorossi apparently ready to make a serious offer for his services.

According to Il Tempo, Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is looking to try to negotiate with Manchester City in order to land the Bosnian international at a lower price, as he would probably cost the Lupi €20 million along with a salary of around €6 million per season at the moment.

Reports also suggest that the Stadio Olimpico outfit could be preparing moves for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku and Shakhtar Donetsk striker Luiz Adriano as well depending on the outcome of their Dzeko bid.

The striker scored four goals and provided three assists in his 22 Premier League appearances last term.
