Roma are reportedly looking to steal Mohamed Salah from Fiorentina, as the winger is expected to sign an extension with the Gigliati in the coming days.
The 23-year-old, who is currently on loan at the Viola from Chelsea until the end of June, has led many to believe he may be on the verge of signing a one-year loan extension with the Stadio Franchi outfit, though it seems like the Giallorossi are ready to step in and sweep him up as soon as possible.
According to Il Tempo, Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has already contacted the player’s agent and would be willing to spend around €20 million to permanently sign the Egypt international this summer, which, coupled with the chance to play in the Champions League next season, may be enough to convince him to join the capital city club.
Reports also show that the Lupi had been close to landing the former Basel man back in January, with Sabatini apparently even having an agreement with Chelsea to bring him to Rome, though negotiations collapsed at the last minute due to the Stadio Olimpico outfit’s other pursuits.
Salah scored six goals and provided three assists in his 16 Serie A appearances last term.
