Roma legend Vincent Candela feels that the capital city club should focus on strengthening several positions this summer if they hope to do better next season.
The Giallorossi fell short of their expectations in Europe last term but still managed to secure second place in the Serie A after a rough campaign and the 41-year-old admits that Rudi Garcia’s squad could use more reinforcements in both attacking and defensive positions before the 2015-16 campaign begins.
Candela spoke to Sky Sport Italia about Roma’s need for certain players and praised the club for holding on to talented midfielder Radja Nainggolan.
“Roma did well to redeem Nainggolan and now we hope that Kevin Strootman can return soon,” said the former wingback.
“In this team, after last season, you can tell Roma are missing a striker, a solid central defender and a player who can do well on both flanks.”
