Roma captain Francesco Totti will reportedly be present in Rudi Garcia’s squad for the capital city club’s away clash with Torino on Sunday.
The 38-year-old has been nursing a flexor tendon injury in recent weeks, which has seen him miss out on the Giallorossi’s last two Serie A meetings with Cesena and Napoli, though he may now be fit enough to earn a spot in the Stadio Olimpico outfit’s line up for the battle with the Granata.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb.com, Totti’s presence will be a big help to Garcia as Gervinho will still be out taking care of his own injury troubles, while veteran defensive midfielder Daniele De Rossi will also be on the bench due to a back injury.
Totti is expected to form the front line with Adem Ljajic and Juan Iturbe, with Radja Nainggolan and Miralem Pjanic seen as the Roma tactician’s only guaranteed starting midfielders for Sunday’s match.
The Lupi captain has scored five goals and provided six assists in his 21 Serie A appearances this term thus far.
