Roma wants to kick Napoli out of the Champions League’s race

The upcoming match between Roma and Napoli gives the possibility to Garcia’s team to kick Napoli out of the challenge for the major international competition. A win would launch Roma leaving Napoli far away.

On Saturday Roma will know something more about its future. The upcoming match between the Giallorossi and the biancoazzuri will let everyone know if Garcia’s guy are back on track after an unbelievable series of negative results or if they have to struggle until the end to obtain the access to the next Champions League. If Benitez’s guys will be able to beat Roma then the situation of the Giallorossi will be very intricate. Lazio is following the tale of Garcia’s guys and Pioli’s team seems to be ready to overtake Roma.

Roma vs Napoli is also a great match to understand Garcia’s future. If his team will not be able to reach the Champions League probably the Frenchman will seriously think about his future in the capital of Italy. The American ownership clearly stated to believe in Garcia’s quality as a manager and coach but in case of a disastrous end of the season they could decide to change the technical guide of the team. However, Roma has its destiny in its hands. The upcoming match against Napoli will be played at the Olympic stadium and Garcia’s guys could benefit from the support of their fans. The stadium will be filled with passionate AS Roma supports that will be there to push the Giallorossi to kick Napoli out of the Champions League’s race. At this stage Benitez’s team is 6 points behind Garcia’s guys and with Roma’s eventual win the 9 point gap could be unbridgeable by Napoli.

Rudi Garcia will have to face many absences again. The entire Roma season was affected by an incredible series of injuries that definitely complicated the job of the Frenchman. Totti will be out again, Maicon is still at the box together with Castan, Strootman, Gervinho and many others. The French coach will probably let Ibarbo and Doumbia start also because there are not that many alternatives. During this week of training, although many players were absent with their national teams, Garcia enjoyed Ibarbo’s great recovery. The Colombian could be Roma’s secret weapon for the end of the season and hopefully he will be able to demonstrate his quality already on Saturday.

Roma has a great chance and Garcia’s guys must exploit this home match in order to win and reach the necessary Champions League.
