Roma want Mitrovic

By Joe Avicolli

Roma to challenge Fiorentina for Anderlecht talent. Roma are reportedly ready to challenge Fiorentina for young Anderlecht forward Aleksandar Mitrovic this summer.

The 20-year-old, whose current contract with the Belgian side is set to expire in June 2018, has been in top form this season and has attracted the attention of several clubs throughout Europe including the two Serie A sides and Benfica, with the Giallorossi looking to take the lead in the race for his signature.

According to Portuguese newspaper Record, Anderlecht value the Serbian international at around 18 million, a price that could be too high for the Viola and the Eagles, which leaves the capital city club with an opening to make an offer for his services in the coming months.

Mitrovic, who arrived at the Belgian club from Partizan for a fee of around 5 million in 2013, has scored 13 goals and provided four assists in his 26 Jupiler Pro League appearances this term thus far.
