Roma: Sabatini monitoring Sassuolo and Hellas Verona Talents

By Joe Avicolli

Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is reportedly monitoring Sassuolo striker Simone Zaza and Hellas Verona midfielder Jacopo Sala as the summer approaches.

Both players have managed to put on impressive performances for their respective teams this season and it seems like the Giallorossi would be ready to add the rising talents to their roster in the coming months, though it could prove to be a challenge for the capital city club.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Sabatini was present at the clash between the Neroverdi and the Gialloblu at the Bentegodi on Sunday, which resulted in a 3-2 win for the hosts, in order to keep an eye on the two players as Roma possibly prepare to makes bids for them.

Zaza, who is actually expected to join Juventus this summer due to an existing agreement between the Old Lady and Sassuolo, has scored eight goals and provided two assists in his 25 Serie A appearances this term thus far.

Sala, whose current contract with Hellas Verona is set to expire in June 2016, has scored one goal and provided one assist in his 12 league appearances this campaign.
