Fiorentina midfielder Alberto Aquilani could reportedly make a return to Roma this summer.
The 30-year-old will be out of a contract with the Viola in June and it’s apparent that his future in Florence is still being decided, with new rumors claiming that the Italian international may be open to making a move back to the Giallorossi where he came up through the youth system and played professionally from 2002-09.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb.com, the midfielder is more likely to accept a transfer to the MLS in the United States if he fails to sign a renewal with Fiorentina, though there’s still a slight chance that he would be ready to play for Roma once again is both clubs were to come to an agreement.
While some reports link Aquilani with a move back to the Lupi, it’s clear that there is yet to be any contact between the Stadio Olimpico outfit and the Gigliati for his services.
The midfielder has made 22 Serie A appearances for Fiorentina this term thus far.
