Roma-Ibarbo: “I’m ambitious and I want to win!”

Roma’s Victor Ibarbo spoke to the reporters during the daily press conference held in Trigoria. The Colombian winger is ready for this challenge and he wants to win with Roma:

Ibarbo seems to be a player who knows what he wants. During his press conference he wisely responded to the questions demonstrating that he knows to be strong player that will be able to make the difference in this club as well:

“I’ll play wherever Rudi Garcia wants me to play. I think I was signed mainly to play as a winger but I’m happy to do play as a striker if necessary.”

“I think I’ve strained my calf slightly but we’ll have to see what the doctors say about it. I already spoke with the coach, I’ll go to Barcelona over the next few days so they can have a look at the patellar ligament in my knee.”

“I’m very ambitious, I always have been ambitious and now that I’ve joined this great team I want to win everything is possible and help the team to achieve its objectives. I’m excited about playing for such a big club. Every footballers dream to play alongside a legend like Totti. I’ll try to make the most of this opportunity to improve my skills but my main job is to help my teammates and create dangerous chances for them.”

“I feel I’m a part of this group already and I don’t think we’re struggling that much. Our results haven’t been great recently but we can’t just give up. We have to keep working hard despite all the missing players.”

“When I got injured at Cagliari I went to Barcelona for my knee problem, to check the patellar tendon. The doctor told me to rest for a month. Now I’m fit again and I was expected to be ready for the next game against Roma.”

“I’ve met them here again and they’ve been a big help to me in my first few days here in Rome. They told me that Rome is a great place where to play. Here you play at a high level but there’s an incredible pressure on you.”

Ibarbo started his new Roman adventure and the supporters are confident that he could really help Garcia’s team even if recently Roma hasn’t performed well at all. Ibarbo is that super-fast winger that Roma needs especially when Gervinho is out. In fact, Roma’s problems began right after Gervinho’s departure for the African Cup. The Ivorian winger is very important for Garcia’s module and Ibarbo could replace him well.

Fingers crossed!
