Former AS Roma young striker Stefano Okaka seems to be definitely ready to play for a big team. His beginning of the season was simply amazing but, moreover, he found a great feeling with his new coach Sinisa Mihajlovic. Okaka became a rocky striker especially very useful to help the team to keep the ball letting his teammates to counterattack. Sampdoria are benefiting from his his physical and temperamental support and now Okaka seems to be a great player ready to play in a team with more expectations.
The Italo-Nigerian striker was interviewed by SKY Sport and stated:
“From February to June I did very good things and this year I thought I would do better, I am succeeding with the whole team and I am happy about that. Great teams need players already ready and it’s never easy for a young man to be ready at 16, 17, 18 years old, unless you are Messi or Totti. Everyone has room for improvement but it’s also normal that when you arrive at maturity you find yourself in a new team but it’s only a matter of time. When you’re young you get thrown into a new world and you don’t know what you can face and it’s more difficult to be concentrated on the field, handle the pressure and fears. However, when you mature and get awareness, you know better how to handle any situation.”
“I think that in the field you see that I have reached a very good psychophysical state. I would be prepared to play for a great team. I have received so much criticism in the past but I have always gone on my way.”
