Garcia: “Tomorrow Maicon and Yanga-Mbiwa will be with us!”

AS Roma’s coach Rudi Garcia held the pre-match press conference on the eve of the big match between Roma and Inter that will take place tomorrow at 8.45 pm CET at the Olympic stadium in Rome.

Below are Garcia’s most important thoughts:

“When Maicon plays impose his game and his physical strength and helps Roma especially in the offensive phase. Tomorrow he will be with us and we’ll see if he will be included in the starting 11 or if he will start from the bench.”

“The Olympic stadium is very important for us because there will be our supporters which are fantastic. Tomorrow is like if we will play in 12 and it is an advantage for us.”

“In order to judge Gervinho we have to check his overall performances, in the Serie A and in the Champions League as well. We have to analyze if he takes part in the offensive actions or if he provides assists. In 75% of the goals that my team scores Gervinho is always present, however, it doesn’t mean that he always plays well. Against CSKA Moscow he didn’t play well, this was obvious to everyone.”

“Talking about Strootman I can say that when a player is out for 8 months he needs training sessions but real matches as well. We all know that he is a great player and for this reason half Europe is looking forward to buy him. We are very happy about his return with the team especially because he has qualities and because he will bring his anger on the playing field.”

“We must focus on ourselves because we’ll face a strong team. Inter got 30 players that are seriously waiting to show that they can compete against us in front of our supporters. However, we’ll do everything to win because tomorrow there is the most important match of our season…yes because it will be our next match and the next match is always the most important for us.”

“In this moment Adem Ljajic is a fundamental player for us and he knows that. We can think that he is not very strong physically but he is probably the player who runs the most. He is important for our roster and I hope to win titles with him.”

“Inter’s players will be very concentrated tomorrow because this is what happen when you change coach. They are a very qualitative team but as all the teams they have weak points and we have to exploit them doing a great match.”
