Destro: “Scoring goals is my life!”

AS Roma Italian striker Mattia Destro was interviewed by Roma Radio to understand his moment with the Giallorossi and his perceptions about the future of the team. Destro stated:

“Scoring goals is my life, it’s the most important thing for a striker. I think about it every minute of the day, then it’s important to collect the 3 points for the sack of the team. People say that I’m lazy and that I have a bad temper, but I am what I am, I want to show and do so much. Sometimes some comments hurt me but I try to give 100% every time.”

“What about your goal 50 m far away from the net? It was pure instinct. I was thinking about that solution since this summer when Panic scored that fantastic goal. Some can try it, if you can score is fine otherwise you were brave enough to try it.”

“I have a great friendship with Florenzi, also because I knew him before coming to Roma and, moreover, now we share the same room and we meet each other also during our free time.”

“When I’m on the playing field I always try to show what I’m able to do and I’m not angry that people criticize me. The comparison with Inzaghi is really important but I would like to do what he did in his career, it would be an important achievement.”

“There are many things on which I have to improve. Garcia always pushes me to do better and I try to show on the field what I can do and to repay his trust.”

“It’s nice to know that Arsenal is following me because it means that I’m following the right path.”

“The team deeply believe in the Scudetto, we want to give happiness to our fans.”
