CSKA Moscow-Roma: Totti, “We haven’t managed the game well!”

AS Roma’s legend Francesco Totti scored a great goal today by performing a powerful shot from a free-kick, however, his goal was not enough to let Roma collect the 3 points and comfortably sit in the second spot of the Group E of the Champions League. Francesco Totti was interviewed by SKY Sport right at the end of the match against the Russian team and he expressed his disappointment for the final result:

“When you are a great team you must come here and properly manage the match, especially when you are one goal ahead. Unfortunately we haven’t managed the game well.”

“Today it was really difficult to play the ball on the ground because the field was in terrible condition, then, when everyone thought that the match was finished we suffered that goal. I’m not here to blame someone I’m just saying that we haven’t properly managed the last ball and we suffered a cross/shot that entered in the net.”

“Right now we must think about ourselves and we must win the last match in front of our supporters. We knew that this is a difficult group. It ‘s like taking a punch from Tyson. It would have been perfect…my goal and the qualification to the next round but the reality is another one.”
