Balzaretti: “Journalists must not convey to the people the message that a defeat is a total failure!”

Federico Balzaretti was the guest of the radio show “Super Max” broadcasted by Radio Due. The AS Roma fullback analyzed many interesting topics in reference to the Italian football system and to the relationship that there is between the journalists, the newspapers and the supporters.

Balzaretti stated:

“What I would change in soccer? I would modify the youth project, bringing the professional boys in schools in the United States to follow them in their school path. It could be a great investment, to do as the Football League with the Academy, with professional footballers who teach the profession.”

“The victory must come after a process of growth, you should not win in any case. The sporadic victory changes nothing. Journalists must not convey to the people the message that a defeat is a total failure. AS Roma’s management is working incredibly well. We have to explain to the supporters why it is not possible to invest all the money on one player. This wrong approach has led to the impoverishment of the Italian football in the last 10 years. By investing in young people could let us to be among the first in Europe again.”
