AS Roma’s defender Davide Astori was interviewed by Roma TV in reference to the challenge for the Scudetto and about the ambitions of the team for the current season. The Italian strong defender seemed to to be very sure of the AS Roma potential.
“Inter is coming to Rome with a great enthusiasm because that’s what happens when you change the coach. Mancini triggered in them the needed shock to play at high levels in the Italian Serie A. However, our goal is to get to Christmas by collecting as many points as possible. We want to reach Juventus at the top of the standings and we want to pass our group in the Champions League.”
“Injuries have been our major concern at this time. When a team is fighting for two competitions but has many injured players it is never easy, but we performed well so far. We have a group that is able to work hard and when it is necessary we are able to joke as well. Against CSKA we demonstrated that we are a united group that fought until the last minute despite the goal conceded in the final moment of the match.”
“As I said, Inter will have more enthusiasm thanks to Mancini’s arrival and we are sure that it will be a great match against a strong team.”
