Iturbe-Roma TV: “I’m a young guy who wants to know the life”

The strong Argentine winger Juan Manuel Iturbe was the guest of honor at Roma TV. He was asked about the challenge for the Serie A, the Champions League, and his new adventure with Roma:

“I believe that Roma did very good things. They were really interested in me and especially Garcia spoke many times with my agent.”

“The Olimpico stadium is very nice. I played with River Plate were the supporters are great but Curva Sud is great as well.”

“The fans have so much confidence in me, but I still have to learn a lot of the coach’s schemes. However, I’m very calm and confident.”

“There is a great gap between Verona and Roma. The most important thing is that our supporters will be close to us. It was really important to win against Fiorentina. They have a great team and it is always important to begin the season in the right way. Juventus are a very strong team but we work to do great things. Roma improve on a daily basis and we will do well this season. In addition I believe that Inter and Milan a great team as well. It will not be easy for us and for Juventus too.”

“I have to say that our group in the Champions League is really difficult. Manchester City and Bayern Munich are super-teams but we will do our best to compete with them.”

“I am calm, cheerful, I like to joke with my teammates. They were good with me because they accepted me without problems.”

“I really like to stay at home, watch a movie and play with the Playstation. I’m a young guy who wants to know the life. My nickname? My mom calls me Juancito in Rome they call me Manuel , please call me Manuel.”

“Totti? When I was little I watched him on TV. Everyone speaks well of him, you can be a champion but also a nice person and Totti is both of them.”

“I think the team wants that both me and Gervinho help our defense line. De Rossi always tells me that it is more important to properly do the defense phase and I do what they tell me to do. Free kick? I’m going from the right but not from the left. I think that is the strongest skill that I have. The most beautiful thing is to score on a free kick as I did against Lazio last season. Derby? All the Derby are hot matches. Lazio are a good team and it will be a great derby.”

“Luca Toni? He is a great player and I have to thank him because thanks to his help I improve a lot last season.”

“In conclusion I want to greet all the Romanisti and Roma TV!”
